What we do

Pocket Sized reference guides developed with simplicity for learning ease at a student's price!

Our business history

Pocket Therapy was established in 2001 to meet the needs of Medical and Allied Health students as they entered the clinical setting as interns and residents.

About our staff

This started as a one man project in the early part of 2001 but has blossomed into a consortium of clinicians eager to help students cross the great divide from education to clinical excellence. Michael Wong graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in June, 2001 and completed the Southern California Kaiser Permanente Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency the same year. He has also completed the Kaiser Permanente Manual Therapy Fellowship at the West Los Angeles facility in 2003. He has been an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist since 2004. He is very active in his professional association (APTA) and has received several awards including the Robert Nakaji Physical Therapist Clinical Fellowship Award, the Inland County District: California Chapter APTA Student Achievment Award and Best Presenter Award at the Calfornia Chapter APTA Annual Meeting. Most recently he was accepted as a fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). Dr. Wong is currently an Assistant Professor teaching manual therapy at the Azusa Pacific University Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in Azusa, California. He is currently practicing in the Loma Linda University Medical Center Outpatient Rehabilitation Institute.

What makes us unique

Our company believes that mastering the fundamentals are the stepping stones to clinical excellence. Each reference guide is made in a simplified, easy to read format with all the pertinent information to help young therapist to grow quickly in confidence and competence. Remember, before you act...
